1 - The Turn

I know I have been quiet as of late, not taking time to pen a story or even my days,
That needs to change as I watch the setting sun across the bay, I know I need to just settle back and listen to the pen scratch across the paper
Watching the ink flow from the pen and the words come as the last of the days light fades and the winds of the caretaker remove the good and bad from the lands for another day,
I know where we are in this world on the Island of the west coast, we are kind of removed from what is happening, the wars and the politics but when you have people in the mix can you really be removed from problems as sadly with people something will always go good or bad.
I came to this Island a few years back running from the city, running from a job that all I was doing is paying bills and going home and sleeping and not much more, was this the way to have a life or was this well just a life, I did not know any more,
Due to this I know I needed a change, I know I needed to escape the rat race and the drudgery that life had become so I walked into my bosses office one day and just put the letter down on his desk to say I had had enough I was leaving I was ending this ground hodge day of a life,
I would work out my two weeks and then call it a day, the very next day when I walked out that door I would hop the bus that came through once a week for the west coast and leave, leave the city behind, the noise the smells and the concrete to travel north beyond the lights to a land where I would hope to find my soul to find my human again.

After a time of just enjoying the good food and watching others come and go, a familiar restlessness began to stir within me. I knew I had to get back on the road. The journey was calling, but with i
